Privacy Policy

FreeAI shows one sponsored line while ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are thinking, and returns 50% of the revenue to you as credits redeemable for Claude. This policy covers our Chrome extension, the Claude Code terminal client, and the macOS app — the little bit of data we need to do that, and what we deliberately never touch.

What we never collect

• Your prompts and the model's answers. FreeAI only detects the on/off "is it generating right now?" state of the page — never the content of what you ask or what the assistant replies.
• Your keystrokes. We don't log what you type into your browser, editor, or terminal.
• Your code and projects. File contents, repository names, and paths stay on your machine.

What we collect

• An anonymous device ID — a random identifier created on first run so we can attribute impressions and earnings. It is not tied to your name, and there is no account until you choose to sign in to redeem.
• Aggregate impression & click counts — which sponsored line served, when, and how much you earned, recorded in an append-only ledger.
• Your email address — only if you sign in on freeai.fyi to redeem credits. We use it to send the magic-link login and to confirm your gift-card redemption.
• A friend's email address — only if you choose to invite a friend from the extension's referral panel. We use it once to send that invitation, so you earn a share when they join.
• An account link — if you're signed in to freeai.fyi, the extension reads your freeai.fyi session token (on freeai.fyi only, the same token the site itself uses) and sends it to our server to connect this device to your account, so your earnings show in your portal. It's your own first-party session, used solely to link the device to you.
• Basic client info — the extension/app version and which supported site served the ad, to render the sponsored line correctly.

Who we share with

• Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and storage of the counts above.
• Resend — sends the login magic link and the gift-card redemption confirmation, only when you sign in to redeem.
• Stripe — processes advertisers' payments into the ad auction. It does not receive your data, and we never see anyone's full card details.

That's it. We never sell or rent your data, and we use what's listed above only to serve ads, pay you, and (if you ask) invite your friends — nothing else.

Your choices

You can opt out of any ad category, pause FreeAI, or uninstall at any time. Credits you've already earned stay redeemable for Claude gift cards on freeai.fyi. Questions? Email hello@contact.freeai.fyi.
